A vast green lawn surrounded by trees might be a setting that is a bit unfamiliar to us, but just a few steps into the Ground brings smiles of joy. The Village Ground is a place awash in different shades of green where a time filled with sounds of energy, cheer and happiness awaits you.

At Maiim Vision Village, spaces of rest and relaxation open to visitors are painted with different shades of colors from nature.

‘Charm House’ surrounded by oak trees (charm tree in Korean) is always frequented by birds and squirrels drawn by tiny yet sturdy acorns. You can sense the passage of seasons in oak trees of deep green hues.

At Maiim Vision Village, spaces of rest and relaxation open to visitors are painted with different shades of colors from nature.

‘Sol House’ is located next to pine trees (sol tree in Korean) that present fresh green all year around. It is a place for cleansing your spirit while immersed in the rhythmical sounds of wind sweeping through the pines.

Cherishing the need for nature... The smell of earth, the texture of stones awaken your senses. Offering the comfort of nature and surrounded by forest, the earth house tells of the past through its traditional earthen walls with stones. It is a space where the passage of time and evolution of nature can be felt through the contrast of earth and stone. Heukjip Doljip garnered interest as a ‘house capturing the longing for nature’ and was awarded the Space Design Award of the Korea Design Awards in 2007.

Being in the warm embrace of nature fills your heart with love, grace and a sense of sharing. The first thing you see upon entry into the Maiim Vision Village is a bench and a tree facing toward the Village Pond. ‘Tree and Bench’ seem to lean on each other on the green lawn surrounded by trees; a quiet moment on the bench as you enjoy the serene Village Pond and surrounding nature calms you to warm your heart. ‘Tree and Bench’ also served as the place where Jun-Sang (Min-Hyung/Bae Yong-Joon) and Yoo-Jin (Choi Ji-Woo) created sweet memories of their love in the popular drama series “Winter Sonata.” It has also become a must-visit place at the Maiim Vision Village.

Village Pond, with the reflection of a clear sky, might look tranquil, but it serves as the habitat of many water fauna and flora. Just enjoying the view of Village Pond with its natural treasures make Maiin Vision Village that much more bountiful.

‘Gam House’ beyond the Village Pond is where you find persimmon trees (gam tree in Korean) that turn fiery red in autumn with ripening persimmons. Persimmon trees have always been part of Korean sensibility, as they were common in old villages in this country. At ‘Gam House,’ you can calm and rest your senses thanks to the House’s comforts and familiarity.

Even a glimpse of the shadow of a long-awaited friend is enough to make your heart flutter.
Welcome House, located at the center of the Maiim Vision Village, was created in the spirit of true welcome for its visitors.
Built as an all-glass structure to afford an expansive view of its natural surroundings, Welcome House is the vantage point from which to feast your eyes on a picturesque wooden bridge and a pond filled with water hyacinths in full bloom located toward the back of the House.

The gallery at the Church of the Heart features a towering glass wall and a high ceiling, while its location along the road leading to the church that is situated among the timeless trees presents a feeling of being outdoors even if someone happens to be inside the building at the time.

The library at the Church of the Heart, a meeting and resting place for people, evokes a natural sensation from being situated in a wooded environment and is complete with a quaint, little pond. This place, which seems as if it is floating in water, is very atmospheric and gives off different views depending on one's position, set against the backdrop of its natural surroundings.

The Church of the Heart’ from Tadao Ando consists of architectural design artwork that has been constructed with the innate understanding of natural surroundings, is a beautiful chapel that utilizes the combination of reflective glass and the dual structure of concrete that creates spatial beauty to present a different feel on any given moment.

A mystical experience awaits you - like a surprise encounter with a small waterfall deep in the valley - when you walk up the Wood Road hidden in the forest behind the Welcome House like a secret. That mystical experience is the Stage Pool, where pure joy like children’s’ laughter can be had on a clear summer day, and a night gazing at the bright stars is filled with romantic sentiments.

White House is a place of clean and pure warmth, like untouched snow in winter. The purity of the space recalls the changing seasons with a contrast of colors. Just follow the path to stand in front of the artwork painted by nature and framed by the big window of the White House.

Drama House is a place of stories located across the Wood Bridge over the clear pond filled with sounds of nature. The stories are created by humans and nature. A full glass structure embraces light and darkness and welcomes a clear view of the pond, trees and the sky. Drama House also served as the home of Ju-Won (played by Hyun Bin) in the hit drama series “Secret Garden” to become a place of hope and dreams for many.

Close your eyes and open yourself up to the sounds proffered by nature that are as enchanting as the landscape you enjoy with sight. Seeing, hearing – nature is beauty in itself. A walk up toward the path marked by a low stone wall brings you to Doldam Hall, where visitors are asked to sense and share beauty with the mind’s eye.
Doldam Hall also holds Doldam Gallery, where warm greetings always await those who enjoyed the walk along the stone wall.

There is the step house  situated in the woods that features a bright glass door and clear white tone when you follow the tree line along the narrow path on the back side of Doldam Hall. This is a rest area that allows you to feast your eyes on the surrounding nature.
